Shopmerge is a Shopify embedded application that integrates with Etsy to sync inventory quantities and import orders.
This policy explains what data we access, why we access it, and how it is handled.
What data Shopmerge accesses
- Shopify store identity and app installation context
- Shopify products, variants, SKUs, and inventory levels
- Etsy shop identity, listings, variations, SKUs, and inventory quantities
- Etsy order identifiers and order line items required to create a Shopify order
- Job logs and error records used to show what happened and why
Why we access this data
- To map Shopify variants to Etsy variations
- To update Etsy inventory quantities based on Shopify inventory
- To import Etsy orders into Shopify without creating duplicates
- To provide visible logs and error states so issues are never silent
How data is stored and retained
Shopmerge stores only the data necessary to operate the sync and provide audit logs.
Logs are retained for operational troubleshooting and to prove job outcomes.
Sharing
Shopmerge does not sell your data. Data is shared only with service providers required to run the application,
and only to the extent necessary to provide the service.
Security
Access tokens and secrets are stored securely. Tenant scoping is enforced so your data is isolated to your store.
No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we apply standard safeguards appropriate for this type of application.
Your choices
- You can disconnect Etsy at any time from within the app settings.
- You can uninstall the app from Shopify to end access.
- You can request data deletion by contacting us.
